Day 4: Clothed in His Righteousness

Isaiah 64:6 describes our best efforts at righteousness as filthy rags. That is a humbling image. No matter how hard we try, we cannot make ourselves clean enough to stand before a holy God. Our goodness falls short. Our track record is not enough. But God never asked you to fix yourself. He never said to clean up your act and then come to Him. He simply said come. And when you come to Him through faith in Christ, something remarkable happens. He takes your spiritual rags and clothes you in the righteousness of Jesus Himself. That is the great exchange. You bring your sin. He gives you His righteousness. You bring your shame. He gives you His standing before the Father. You come as you are, and He makes you into something new. That is not just theology. That is the most personal, life-changing transaction that has ever taken place. When you understand what God has done for you, it changes how you see yourself and how you see others. The person sitting next to you, the one you pass on the street, the one who seems too far gone, they are not too far gone for the same grace that found you. Go tell them.

    Scripture for Today

"I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; He has covered me with the robe of righteousness." - Isaiah 61:10

    Take a Moment to Reflect

Do you truly believe that God sees you clothed in Christ's righteousness, and how does that belief shape the way you live each day?

    From This Week’s Message

"God took my rags and gave me His righteousness."

    A Simple Prayer

Lord, thank You for covering me with what I could never earn on my own. Help me to walk in the confidence of Your righteousness and to share that hope with others.

    Amen.
